Magtax Data File sent to IRS is Rejected
Solution

Using the Magtax version 2005.6.3, I generated a file to send to the IRS
and submitted it on 02/17/06.  I checked the IRS.gov FIRE website today and
found that my file was rejected by the IRS.

The reason for file rejection is: "Your file does not contain a complete
set of 'T', 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'F' records or the data is not information
returns.  The file that you are sending to us must begin with a 'T'
record."

Attached is the file I submitted to the IRS.  Please let me know what is
wrong with the file per IRS standards and what needs to be done to correct
the file.  Thanks!

Well, the problem is you can't submit the Magtax Dataset, you need to
generate the IRSTAX file and submit the IRSTAX file to the IRS....

The help does talk about this....

Did you generate?  There should be a file called "IRSTAX" in the Magtax
folder.....
